Pear is seeking an experienced and passionate Sales Director to accelerate our digital platform business nationally, specifically focusing on providing innovative solutions in the Wellness enterprise markets. As Sales Director, this role will be a part of growing Pear’s new business line focused on providing innovative digital solutions through companies wellness solutions.
The Sales Director role will require a combination of new customer acquisition and relationship management skills. It requires a strong track record of commercial success with the candidate possessing a builder mentality. The role manages its sales pipeline while collaborating with other team members.
Experience with software sales in the healthcare or insurance markets is beneficial as this role will be selling solutions directly to both self-insured companies as well as companies with benefits programs provided through brokers and payors.
POSITION ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 5-7 years experience.
- A significant component of the role will be acquiring customers and owning the stages of the sales pipeline to drive conversion. Must drive pipeline progress of potential clients from initial prospecting to closing within the mid-size and large corporate markets.
- Own delivery of customer presentations and build long-term relationships.
- Establish and foster strong relationships with HR professionals, benefits buyers, and third-party brokers to understand their specific needs.
- Become an additional spokesperson for the business at conferences and other industry events.
- Knowledge of industry trends and competitor activities to optimize sales strategies.
- Work closely with the Engagement Team to achieve a smooth transition of new clients and help drive solution objectives.
- Provide market insight, pressure point, product feature, and win/loss feedback to business stakeholders to improve the company’s ability to solve customer needs, meet market demand and drive growth.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Dynamic, engaging individual who truly understands the positive impact of regular physical activity and promotes physical activity by example.
- Motivation for sales, strong negotiation skills, natural skill to build relationships, strong organization, ability to manage processes and understanding how to sell to your customer needs.
- Successful track record in sales, preferably within the healthcare, insurance, wellness or human resources industries.
- Strong understanding of the corporate wellness market and the challenges faced by mid-size and large companies.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic and a passion for sales.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.
